Failures of kindness

I think that George Saunders is what he want to be because he said he wants people to be less selfish and by caring about that girl he is. Even though he said he never was rude to the girl or said anything mean. Plus he even defended her sometimes, yet he still felt bad for her and it kept bothering him because he is not selfish and he cares about other people.

Earth day Cleanup.

So recently I participated in helping my school and other schools clean up our neighborhood. The group I was in went to the local park. The workers there called us over knowing what we were doing and asked us to help them. So as a result of that we ending up filling up the their pickup truck with dirt, sticks and other garbage. Then after that we filled up the garden part of the park with mulch. Finnally after all the work we went back to our school were they were giving out food for everyone participating in the cleanup and we ate and then everyone went home except a few of my friends and me hung out for a while after. Going into this my objective was to help clean up all of the park but I only ended up cleaning up the garden area of the park but it was still fun helping clean and do work.

Beginnings and Ending.

The way I feel about this school year ending and the next one beginning is that I'm really excitied for spring break. Also I'm kinda nervous and happy to be going to high school. Plus I'm somewhat sad to be leaving Heritage Middle School but also happy to have finally made it through the whole 6th 7th and 8th grade here. Adding on to me being sad for leaving Heritage might be bad after summer vacation because once its over I need to prioritize the next school year to make sure I can do my best in it. Also the ending of this year can be fun because of Dinner Dance and the graduation ceremony.

Something that scares me.

Something that I will be starting soon that definitely scares me is my job. This job will be an Umpire for little league baseball games. The reason this scares me is because it will be a new experience. Also my younger sister (she's 12 now) played in little league softball so ive seen how mad some coaches/parents can get if you make a call they dont like. Plus to add on to all that I recently finished reading through all the rules that I have to memorize and just over all the responsibility this will be. But on the bright side it does pay so that's always good. Another thing I'm kindve scared about is that I will have to organize all my Umpire gear like my Face Mask, Chest Protecter, Umpire Bag, Homeplate brush, clicker and the Umpire shirt.

Life is beautiful

In this movie I noticed a lot that the dad made sure his kid didn't know the truth about what actually was happeneing. It really helped me imagine what is was like for a loving Jewish family during that time in the holocuast and what they had to go through to see each other. It also helped me think about how much I would miss my mom and sisters. Also the hard work and effort I would have to put in to stay alive at the time. Something I noticed that was different between reading about the holocoaust and watching the movie was that in the readings it never said anything about parents convincing the children that nothing bad was happeneing.

In the movie there was a parade at the end, however in the stories about it I dont remember anything happening about parades at the end of the war. Also I don't like the fact that in the movie the child never found out about his dead dad. In the movie the Nazis where shaving the Jews heads and then using their hair for clothes and coats. But when I was reading about it, it only mention them taking the Jews clothes and reusing them.

Life is shown as beautiful in the movie when the dad tricks his son and making him think everything is alright. There was also beauty when the son spoke out to his mom over the loud speaker. Finally life is shown as beautiful when the mom and son met up and hugged for the first time since the war began.

Diary of a wimpy kid.

My book is about a kid named Gregory Heffely and he goes through some pretty bad times over the winter. For example he's a kid who struggles in school with bullies because he isn't too popular and his one friend does nothing he want to do ever. Like one time he was having his friend spend the night at his house when his friend got scared and left. Also one time he had a snow day off from school but when he was at home his family lost power and almost ran out of food then just to find out his younger brother turned of the power every where in the house but his room so when they went up to his room, his little brother had taken all the food the heaters and was using all of the energy in the house. So all in all over the winter he just had a horrible time. He also got in trouble by the cops for acdentially painting on the school because he was trying to hang some color full signs but then it rained so the color of the paint dripped through the signs because of the rain and left huge marks of paint on the dull walls. So as an effect of that he was avoiding the cops everywhere he went and told no one about it. Also his mom made him turn in an envelope to a secret santa thing at his church. But to get to the church he passed the police station so he crawled on the ground in the snow to get to the church.

Over spring break.

Over spring break I hung out with my one friend Richie a lot. He spent the night at me house and I spent the night at his house a lot. Also my other friend Jorge spent the night at my house one time. Also me and Richie went to Enchanted Castle because we were going to go to SkyZone (a trampoline park) instead but it was closed on the day we went. Also I did just hang out with a lot of my friends in general. Plus I has my first soccer game of the new season I went on to get 3 assists but no goals because every thru ball my team played me was a just and inch out of my reach. The game ended up being 5-5 at full time because we were down about 2-0 in the first half then after half time we made a comeback and had it at 5-3 us in the lead but then we conceded a dumb goal. After that they got a penalty kick because on a corner kick my teammate hand balled it by accident. Of course they scored the penalty kick now it was 4-5 us in the lead but right after that play they had another corner kick luckily we cleared it but when my teammate was boding the other teams player shoulder to shoulder he flopped and got a call out of it it was such a flop that even the others teams coach acknowledged it. They scored it and just like that the final whistle was heard the game was over tied 5-5.

I would like to meet Michail Antonio. I would like to meet him because right now he is my favorite soccer player. Plus he plays for my favorite team so I would be able to watch some of their games with him. Also I really like his personality in interviews and videos of him and his team having fun

Super Bowl Comerical

I believe this commercial is against sexism. It is called "Daughter" by Audi. This commercial starts off by father questioning himself if he should tell his daughter that her Dad and Grandpa will be worth more than her grandma and mom and that no matter her skill she will be rated less then men. During this father talking to himself his daughter is participating in a go cart race with 3 other boys. At the end of the race the daughter wins the race and the dad asking himself if maybe he can tell his daughter something different. Then the commercial ends.

Best Advice I have ever received

The best advice i have ever received was right before a soccer game. The advice was givin to me personally by my coach and the backstory because of this advice was i messed up multiple passes and crosses in my previous 2 practices. The reason for this was because for some reason I started over thinking my thru balls or crosses. So this advice was right before a game where my coach told me to just not think about the pass and just do it like i had been doing from a very young age. So in a result of this i went on to get an assist that game by running down the wing and crossing the ball in to the box and my teammate scored of a header. Also in that game I played a robona thru ball to my teammate so he one 1v1 with the goalie he took that shot and scored.With the  game now 2-2 with it being in the last 2 or 3 minutes of the game I played my teammate another thru ball only this time the defender read the pass to my teammate Aydan who I passed the ball too immediately had a denfender on him and so he played a thru ball to me and I striked the ball into the bottom right corner of the net barely beating the keeper. So this was the best advice i ever received.

Worst argument ever

My worst argument was about who was the better soccer player Ronaldo or Messi. This argument was with my friend and we looked deep into goals, tackles, dribbles completed , ball touches per game and just their overall stats. What I learned was that they are both overally equal in skill and great players in general. It was resolved by both of us realizing that their stats are too close in detail to pick a better player.

One aspect of my life i feel really confident about is when I'm on the soccer field considering in practice and in game i am something like a captain or leader figure to other players on my team and that boosts my confidence

One kind thing I did over break

One kind thing I did over break was went Black Friday shopping with my mom to get presents for all my family members and we were also with my sister her friend and our other cousin and we ended up staying out until about 3:42 in the morning when we had left the night before for shopping it was around 8:00 pm and we stayed out til 3:42am and this was kind because i had to go through chaos and many people to get my family members excatcly what they wanted.
